COVID-19 Response: We are Updating the Way We Work so Young People Can Stay Connected

At The Push, we recognise now more than ever, that we need to be supporting young people to stay connected and supported within their communities. We know that right now many young people across Victoria are struggling with unprecedented changes and uncertainty around their financial security, education, and connection to family and friends.

To respond to this, The Push is updating the way we work to ensure that despite the impact COVID-19 is having on the way we live, work and play, we can continue to deliver relevant high quality programs that are responsive to the needs of Victoria’s future music industry leaders and audiences.

Over the coming weeks, we will be rolling out a new suite of online professional development programs and activities that will ensure young people are staying connected and developing the skills and networks that they need right now for sustainable career pathways.

We know that regardless of location, not all young people have access to the resources needed to participate in online programming, and we will continue to address these barriers to participation, ensuring all young people can access our programs and activities.

Online Workshops

On Thursday 2 April The Push will be delivering the annual FReeZA Workshop online via zoom.us. This free workshop will be accessible for all FReeZA workers and young people and will provide a series of training sessions focused on hosting online events and engaging audiences online, as well as an opportunity to ask questions of industry practitioners The Push and Department of Premier and Cabinet staff.

Click here to register for the FReeZA Workshop via Eventbrite.

Volunteers

Our volunteers are a crucial part of our organisation. To ensure everyone’s wellbeing, we will be asking our volunteers to take a short break from The Push. Some volunteers may wish to work from home. Where possible, we will do what we can to support this option. For all volunteer enquiries, contact our Operations Manager, Josh Kane, josh@thepush.com.au.

Stay in touch

From this week onwards, The Push team will be working from home until it is deemed safe to return to our normal office arrangements. While our team are currently working remotely, The Push is still contactable during business hours and we’d love to hear from you.

Please reach out to the team on phone (03) 9380 1277 or email hello@thepush.com.au. Make sure you follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for all our upcoming news and updates.

Thank you for your continued support and connection to our organisation.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
