After the huge success of last year’s sold out Live at the Bowl event, The Push is teaming up with Arts Centre Melbourne to stage another epic all-ages party featuring Dune Rats, Beddy Rays and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.
Happening on Sunday 10 April at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, this afternoon of live music is being staged by our All-Ages Events Team – a committee of next generation music industry professionals, developing skills, knowledge and confidence in staging all-ages live music events.
Get your mates together and get ready for the biggest all-ages concert of the summer!

+ What are the terms and conditions?
- This competition starts 10:00am AEDT on Tuesday 15 February 2022 and closes at 5:00pm AEDT Monday 14 March 2022.
- We will be choosing one Victorian high-school band or artist to play at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Sunday 10 April 2022.
- The winner will be chosen by The Push and Arts Centre Melbourne’s All-Ages Events Team.
- The winner will be picked based on their ability to deliver a good live performance suitable for Dune Rats, Beddy Rays and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers audiences.
- The winners will be notified the week commencing Monday 14 March 2022.
- The prize consists of the following:
• An opportunity to perform at Live At The Bowl All-Ages Event on Sunday 10 April 2022.
• A performance fee of $1,000.00. - Artists will be responsible for making their way to and from the event.
- The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
- No replacement will be offered in the event that the prize cannot be claimed on the stipulated dates.
- Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- As a winner, you will be representing The Push and Arts Centre Melbourne at this event. As such you are obligated to behave responsibly and professionally and comply with the rules and requests that the event organisers ask of you.
- Live At The Bowl is being staged in line with the Victorian Government’s Public Health & Wellbeing Act 2008 (Part 8A). As such, all artists will be required to provide proof of vaccination upon entry to each venue, unless a valid exception or exemption is in place and is provided. As per current guidance, only people over 18 will need to show evidence of their vaccination status or a valid medical exemption.
+ What do I need to include in my application?
Applicants will be required to submit:
- A link to a 1 x video introducing yourself (artist name/members/music style), explaining what performing at the show would mean to you, why you believe all-ages shows are important and what has been your most memorable moment in your music career to date.
- A link to a 1 x video of you performing your best song (this can be in front of a live audience or in your bedroom).
- An online application including contact details and written responses
+ Who can apply for the competition?
While the program is open to all Victorian high school artists, priority will be given to:
- First Nations young people
- Young people of colour
- Young people from low-income households
- Young women
- Non-binary young people
- Young people with a disability
- LGBTQIA+ young people
Staying COVID Safe
It is important that all attendees work alongside Arts Centre Melbourne and The Push to ensure these events remains COVID Safe. Please follow directions of staff while on site and ensure you have registered prior to arrival. Remember to sign in using QR codes and wear masks if and when directed to. Hand sanitiser will be available at the event. If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, please stay safe and stay at home.
