Discover, Learn & Start Planning Your Career in Music at Our Music Careers Expo

We’re excited to launch our first annual Music Careers Expo to be held at Collingwood Yards this school holidays, Tuesday 29 June.

 If you’re in high school, love music and want to pursue a career in the music industry, this is for you!

Presented in partnership with Ableton, Australian Institute of Music, JMC Academy, Collarts, Box Hill Institute and RMIT University, this free, one-day event will provide you with insights and information on how to get a start in the Australian music industry and the various career paths that are available to you.

Featuring keynote presentations, workshops, panel discussions and more, our Music Careers Expo is a fun and interactive way for you to learn about the various professions within the music industry and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with education and training providers who can provide you with tailored advice.

The Music Careers Expo is your ticket to a career in the Australian music industry.

Registrations close: Monday 28 June, 5pm

It is important that all attendees work alongside The Push to ensure this event remains COVID Safe. Please follow directions of staff while on site and ensure you have registered prior to arrival. Remember to sign in using QR codes and wear masks if and when directed to. Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the day. If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, please stay safe and stay at home.

+ Who should attend?

The Music Careers Expo is for high school aged students aged 15 – 18 years old who are passionate about music. Whether you’re interested in a career on stage or behind the scenes, this event is for you. Parents, guardians, friends, and teachers are also encouraged to attend.

+ What can I expect on the day?

Get ready to be inspired and learn about the types of careers that exist within the Australian music industry. You can expect to hear keynote presentations from music industry professionals, participate in interactive workshops, book in for one-on-one career advice and meet with education and training providers at our expo stalls.

There’ll also be food and drinks available throughout the day and live music to keep you entertained.

+ How much does it cost to attend?

It’s free! But registrations are essential.

Yes, you may! But please remember to register your details and your class prior to attending.
