The value of your voice should not be underestimated. Grab your pens, pencils, quills, or typewriters and write a letter to your local member of Parliament. This can be printed and mailed, or emailed.

The Push is an Australian youth music organisation and registered charity based in Melbourne. For almost four decades, The Push has supported millions of young people with access to contemporary music programs and events.
Their work is guided by our purpose of giving every young person the opportunity to participate and thrive in Australian music.
We know that music plays a vital role in the lives of young Australians. Participation in music can be the defining moment in a young person’s life, helping shape their identity and establish lifelong relationships.
Attending a live music performance can provide feelings of social connectedness, commonality and belonging, and collective understanding.
That’s why in 2025, we’re joining The Push to ask our political leaders to commit to an investment in The Push to deliver the All-Ages Events Teams across Australia. With an investment of $6.8 million over four years, The Push could roll out the introduction of a National All-Ages Events Teams program.
Ahead of the upcoming election, we hope to hear you publicly support The Push’s proposal, and help us create a future for young people in music and the arts across all Australian communities.

The Push is a registered charity that relies on the generosity of our community to support our work.
By making a donation, you can give young people access to contemporary music programs and events.
Across the country, people are looking for ways to engage young people in equitable, inclusive and accessible live music events, secure the future of audiences and artists and create new and meaningful opportunities for education and training throughout the sector.
Every day, The Push is doing this vital work. From our earliest beginnings as a small grassroots charity, The Push has been committed to young people being at the centre of everything we do. Our programs and industry partnerships continue to grow our impact in cities, towns and communities throughout Australia.
Over the past year we’ve reached more than 255,000 young people through live music events in their communities, supported 2,346 young people to access training and skills development and created 450 paid employment opportunities for young people in the music industry. We’ve advocated for the role of young people in music at every level of government and industry, and worked with 85 groups to self-determine and co-design youth-led all ages events throughout the country.
As a not-for-profit, this far-reaching impact is only possible when supported by generous individuals and organisations who are committed to the future.
